Microsoft’s gaming CEO Phil Spencer has confirmed that the company will be bringing at least some of its games to the recently revealed Nintendo Switch 2.
Spencer shared the news during an interview on Gamertag Radio. When asked how he felt about the recent reveal of the Switch 2.
“I was exchanging emails with Furukawa-san, the CEO of Nintendo. I gave him a big congrats and said my old eyes appreciate the larger screen,” said Phil.
More importantly, stated that Microsoft plans on supporting the new console with some of its own games.
“Nintendo, their innovation, and what they mean in this industry… I just always applaud the moves that they make. They did a little flash video, and I know we’ll get more detail over time. I’m really looking forward to supporting them with the games that we have, and I just think they’re a really important part of this industry.”
Of course, in 2024 Microsoft did send a few games over to the Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation.
Xbox recently held a developer direct where it announced release dates for Doom: The Dark Ages and South of Midnight, as well as revealing Ninja Gaiden 4. Both Doom and Ninja Gaiden 4 have been announced for PlayStation and PC, so is it safe to assume those games might also be playable on the Switch 2? Then there’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle which is coming to PS5 this year. Could it be another Switch 2 game?
