Bruce’s Analysis:
Blowing a double-digit lead for the second time in two weeks against the Aztecs was a bummer for the Spartans, though it was another spread cover for Tim Miles. For those who got San Jose -2.5 last week against Fresno, that makes the Spartans 18-2 vs. the line since mid-November. Watch soph G Latrell Davis, who had been instant offense off the bench all season before being moved by Miles into the starting lineup (replacing a hurting Will McClendon) on Tuesday and responding with 21 points. Meanwhile, Steve Alford’s Nevada has three wins in a row but the Pack has been a money-burner most of the past two months, having dropped nine of ten vs. the line before the recent mini-recovery. Play San Jose State.
