Saquon Barkley continues to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive line knows how much he appreciates their efforts throughout his historic 2024 season.
The Eagles star gifted each member of the offensive line a truck of Bud Light to celebrate during the parade in Philadelphia following their 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.
Barkley has made a point of emphasizing the offensive line throughout this season. He praised them after a Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Rams in which he ran for 255 yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles offensive line joined Barkley and Jalen Hurts as guests on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata revealed on Thursday that they were included on the show at Barkley’s insistence.
The Eagles have had arguably the best offensive line in the NFL for years. There was some concern going into the 2024 season that they might take a step back with franchise icon Jason Kelce retiring at the end of the 2023 campaign.
Those concerns turned out to be totally unfounded, as Cam Jurgens stepped in and was more than capable of following in Kelce’s footsteps.
Putting Barkley behind that unit turned out to be a magical partnership. He set a new single-season record with 2,504 rushing yards between the regular season and playoffs.
It all culminated with the Eagles turning in one of the most dominant performances in recent Super Bowl history. They led by 34 points on two different occasions before the Chiefs got two late touchdowns that made the score much closer than it appeared.
Barkley, the offensive line and the rest of the Eagles organization will be celebrating their championship season with their hometown fans at the victory parade on Friday.
